O ministro do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), Marco Aurélio Mello, concordou nesta  com a tese do advogado Márcio Thomaz Bastos de que o julgamento do mensalão nessa Corte é uma "bala de prata", onde os réus não terão a chance de recurso.

Marco Aurélio, que não compareceu nesta sexta à sessão do julgamento do mensalão para participar do 5º Congresso Brasileiro de Sociedades de Advogados, em São Paulo, lembrou que só três dos 38 réus da ação penal 470 teriam direito a foro privilegiado.

O ministro revelou que já foi cogitada a possibilidade das sessões extras para garantir o calendário de julgamento do mensalão também pelas manhãs.
