It was released this morning the final balance of mega-operation "Satellite", held by the Military Police between 14h and 0h Thursday (27), in São Paulo. The corporation was effectively used by almost 30 thousand police officers.
The raids, according to the PM, were intended to "combat crime, especially robbery and theft of vehicles, theft of ATMs and drug trafficking, and educational traffic through police roadblocks."
According to the statement released by the PM, were arrested in flagrante 180 people, another 64 that were sought by justice were recaptured and 72 teenagers were apprehended. During the raids were addressed more than 64 thousand people.
A total of 47 weapons, 32 fire, was seized during the mega-operation. The police set up 2307 points lock, 42,511 vehicles raided, recovered 39, 1443 seized and subjected 1885 drivers to breathalyzer. Regarding the crime of drug trafficking, the PM held seizure of more than 120 kg of narcotics.
